Miller Samuel is delighted to announce the appointment of Philip Curle (36) as partner and head of its commercial property practice with effect from 1st September 2009. The appointment is part of a drive to grow the team and expand the breadth of services and expertise offered to clients within the sector.

Philip will be the ninth partner at Miller Samuel and joins from Harper Macleod where he acted for a diverse range of clients. He has particularly strong experience in the development, letting, purchase and sale of retail and mixed-use developments. Recent deals led by Curle include the sale of the Commonwealth Games Village site to Glasgow City Council, the acquisition of the site for the new Commonwealth Games Hotel and the acquisition of the site for the forthcoming Jumeirah International Hotel.

Prior to Harper Macleod, Philip trained at Kerr and Co, a niche practice with an excellent reputation for Commercial Property and subsequently worked with Biggart Baillie gaining exposure to high quality international work in a well regarded firm with a particular strength in the Retail and Development sectors.
